This is a very typical Hampton Inn. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and I slept great. The hotel was under going some renovation and from what I could tell it will make this hotel look even better. The construction did not hamper my visit. Hampton Inn is one of my favorite go to hotels as they are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Great place.
Great hotel that is undergoing renovations. They are making it even better than before. Friendly staff and a great breakfast. I would recommend this hotel!
So I am writing this review as somewhat a retraction from my previous review. As I mentioned, oh what a difference a conversation with the manager can make. I was fortunate to meet the manager and shared with her my disappointment with the treatment I had received from the staff on my check in the previous night. I must say I have not met a more genuinely kind, compassionate and caring person managing a hotel property. She was determined to change my opinion and I must say she thoroughly succeeded. She was very patient and kind and went way out of her way to get my room switched to a much nicer room. She explained to me about the renovations and the challenges it has presented to maintaining the property to the standards they like. I was thoroughly impressed at her devotion to customer satisfaction and her genuinely friendly demeanor. I must say she is a true asset for this location and the brand in general. She changed me from a disappointed to delighted customer.
Very nice and clean Hampton Inn covenantly located to Highway 17. Several restaurant close by with a wide variety of places to eat. Historically and beautiful downtown Edenton by the water is only minutes away. A must visit if your in the area. Also everyone is very helpful and friendly.
The night desk person was inattentive. The compressor on the fridge in our room was noisy. The continental breakfast was good. The cleaning lady was very nice, friendly and helpful!
