After a long drive and a hard day, I had the pleasure of wandering into Edenton. I parked, walked down the quaint downtown street, full of lively little businesses, and soaked in the small town feel. Just before turning a corner, I backtracked, returning to a little Christian store with a t-shirt rack out front.
I was blessed by this visit, and plan to stop by Edenton again, if only to visit this Christian Book Store.
When I finally went to pay, and got the opportunity to engage the owner in conversion, I was surprised to find myself thoroughly inspired by his and his wife's lives and the ways in which they are following Christ as a way of life. Edenton may have dreadful cellphone connection (at least with my phone service), but the time spent doing there was absolutely worth the out-of-the-way stop. Not only was the conversion great, but his devotional recommendation was on-point.

I was pleased to find a few CDs I'd been planning to buy, all varying in genre. I passed the DVD Priceless, considered Risen, then went back for the first. I found myself impressed with the selection choices on the part of the owners. I skimmed past a variety of books, including some of my favorite authors, only because I knew I couldn't afford to add more to my purchase. (More due to a tight budget than the prices, which were generally more than refundable.) I skimmed over their wide variety of gift options, reasoning with myself in a similar manner.
If you're looking for impersonal, shop online. If you're looking to bless a little Christian book store, and to be blessed by the people you meet and the things you buy... It sounds like a visit to Edenton's Christian Book Seller is in order.
